Airline Tariff Publishing Company (ATPCO) appoints Nancy DiPietro as Director

Applications Systems Development and Quality Management. In this role, Nancy DiPietro is responsible for directing a 70 person Development and Quality Management team in the development and testing of a large Technology Transformation initiative, new business applications, scheduled maintenance, and routine modifications to existing systems as defined by ATPCO’s internal product marketing team. Responsibilities also include organizing, developing and implementing Configuration & Release Management competencies. Nancy DiPietro is also responsible for directing the activities of a 30-person third-party integration team as part of a Technology Transformation initiative to re-architect ATPCO Fares systems from a CICS COBOL architecture to a distributed Java/J2EE architecture. Before joining ATPCO, Nancy DiPietro served as Chief of Staff to the CTO at AOL Time Warner (NYSE: TWX). While in this position, Nancy DiPietro was responsible for providing strategic advice and oversight to the CTO in dealing with a range of staff, organizational, procedural, and budget issues and affairs. She served as the primary strategic liaison with internal staff and external constituencies for the CTO and oversaw facets of the daily operations of AOL’s technology organization, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies. In her role as Chief of Staff, Nancy DiPietro also directed significant technology program activities for the CTO, including the rollout of the AOL Video Portal and the re-architecture of AOL’s advertising platform to a third-party outsourced software platform. After completing a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computer Science from LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY, Nancy DiPietro began her career as a member of the technical staff at American Management Systems (AMS, now CGI) in 1988.

Nancy DiPietro launched a new strategic consulting firm called Outside Solutions LLC. The company is focused on providing large IT organizations with strategic insight and direction related to systems development, quality assurance, project management, and organizational re-structuring. Nancy DiPietro has 19 years experience in overseeing large IT projects and directing organizational re-structuring. In November 2006, Outside Solutions, under the direction of Nancy DiPietro, was awarded a 6 month contract with ATPCO to define the systems development project plan (i.e, schedule, cost, resources, and timeline) for a large Technology Transformation to migrate ATPCO’s Fares systems from a mainframe-based CICS COBOL environment to a distributed Java/J2EE environment.
