Edwin Ogenio says, we must trust God to help us show love to those we do not feel love for, since Godly love is not something we feel, but something we do. In order to become perfect in this area of our lives, or in other words become like Jesus Christ, we need to allow God to groom us in character, holiness, maturity, and love. This is a process, just as we expect behaviors to develop in people, from baby-stage to a child, to teenager and adult. How fast we grow in unconditionally loving others, depends on our stage of spiritual development, believes Edwin Ogenio.
Edwin Ogenio believes that becoming perfect in love for everybody, does not mean that we will not fail at times, but that we are willing to admit our wrong doings, and continue to allow God to correct, heal, restore, and mature us. We then learn more and more how to tap into, and receive God’s love for ourselves and our neighbor! Edwin Ogenio says that our neighbor is anyone of any race or social background who is in need, and love means acting to meet the person’s need. There is never a good reason for refusing to help.Another aspect of loving your neighbor is that we should not lie or be critical to each other, because it disrupts unity, as it creates conflicts and destroys trust, adds Edwin Ogenio. Edwin Ogenio believes, we need to examine our attitudes and actions toward others; our neighbor. Do we build people up, instead of tearing them down by criticizing and condemning them? Saying something positive and beneficial to others, will cure us from constant fault-finding in them, and increase our ability to obey God’s law of love! In conclusion Edwin Ogenio adds, let us finish with a powerful saying that comes directly from the mouth of Jesus Himself:
Do for others what you would like them to do for you. This is a summary of all that is taught in the law and the prophets. Matt 7:12 NLT

Frank Scozzaro: “Should I or shouldn’t I? Like many people, there’s a good chance you’ve put some thought into refinancing your home over the years. Many people think about it but few act on it–primarily because they simply don’t have answers to the question of whether it’s the “right” thing to do.”
Here are several things to keep in mind when deciding whether to refinance your home (by Frank Scozzaro):
First, even a small rate cut can pay off quickly! That’s because many mortgage companies are willing to waive routine refinancing charges such as application, appraisal and legal fees (which can add up to $3,000). In exchange for low or no upfront costs, however, you’ll need to be willing to accept a rate that’s somewhat higher than the prevailing rock bottom, informs Frank Scozzaro.
That said, if you are planning to stay in your home for at least three to five more years, it might make sense to pay “points” (one point equals 1% of the loan amount) and closing costs to get the lowest available rate. You can avoid laying out cash and still get a low rate by adding the points and closing costs to your new mortgage. Does that mean taking on a lot of extra debt?
Not necessarily.
Frank Scozzaro: “If you’ve had your current mortgage for at least three years, you’ve probably reduced your balance by several thousand dollars. You might be able to tack your closing costs onto your new loan and still end up with a mortgage that’s smaller than your original one–plus a lower rate and monthly payment.”

Nancy DiPietro
Inspiration for great acts often comes from a single event. For Nancy DiPietro, that event came on Aug. 12, 2006. While attending the international nurses’ forum on the HIV/AIDS crisis, Nancy DiPietro was stunned to learn that many of the nurses treating HIV/AIDS patients in Africa were infected themselves.
Not content to sit by and do nothing, Nancy DiPietro created Give an Hour, a campaign that calls upon Canada’s registered nurses to support HIV/AIDS-affected nurses in Africa. Nancy DiPietro’s hope is that every nurse who can will pledge the equivalent of one hour of pay each year to the Stephen Lewis Foundation. Since launching the campaign, Nancy DiPietro has received tremendous support from her colleagues and nursing organizations.
Her career experiences gave Nancy DiPietro the knowledge and skills necessary to create this national campaign. Building on work in an intensive care unit, an operating room, a post-anesthetic care unit and in women’s health, Nancy DiPietro joined the McMaster University Medical Centre team in 1993 and became a sexual assault nurse examiner in 1997. As manager of Nina’s Place, the Regional Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Care Centre of Halton, at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital, Nancy DiPietro say first-hand the how sexual and interpersonal violence affected the lives of women and children.
Last August, Nancy DiPietro joined the staff of Langs Farm Village Association, which operates a community health centre in her hometown of Cambridge. Nancy DiPietro will be the nurse manager of a new satellite centre set to open this spring in the village of Ayr. The centre till provide primary health care, health promotion and community development services using a multidisciplinary team of health providers. In her new position, Nancy DiPietro will be focusing on addressing and raising awareness of the broader determinants of health such as employment, education, environment, isolation and poverty. Nancy DiPietro is excited about having a hand in bringing primary health care to an under-serviced rural community.

Edwin Ogenio’s experience over the last years is that many are longing and looking for the kind of lifestyle these believer had. The world is tired of organized religion without genuine love and power. Onlookers want to see TRUTH manifesting through Christians, like it says in John 13:35 “By this all will know that you are My disciples if you have love for one another.”
Edwin Ogenio says that a great example of how the church has become is found in the book of Revelations where God exhorts and confronts the loveless church: “I know all the things you do. I have seen your hard work and your patient endurance. I know you don’t tolerate evil people. You have examined the claims of those who say they are apostles but are not. You have discovered they are liars. You have patiently suffered for me without quitting. But I have this complaint against you. You don’t love me or each other as you did at first! Look how far you have fallen from your first love! Turn back to me again and work as you did at first.”
Rev 2:2-5 NLT
Edwin Ogenio: This is in contrast to the faithful church in Revelation 3:9 where God says about the people: “Look! I will force those who belong to Satan - those liars who say they are Jews but are not - to come and bow down at your feet. They will acknowledge that you are the ones I love.”
Rev 3:9 NLT
Edwin Ogenio believes, it is because of our genuine love and faithful commitment to God and to one another that even unbelievers will be attracted and ultimately will worship the Lord. Edwin Ogenio cites: “There are three things that will endure - faith, hope, and love - and the greatest of these is love.” 1. Cor 13:13 NLT

Today’s mortgage companies have become “workout” specialists. Much is being written about foreclosure these days. Although circumstances sometimes make it the only option, it is avoidable-especially when financial setbacks are addressed with your lender early on.
Most important? Notify your lender as soon as you know you’re going to miss your first payment. Advance notice gives your lender an opportunity to offer options on how to handle your hardship. More often than not, he or she will be willing to work with you to get things back on track.
Workout time. Solving foreclosures has become somewhat of a specialty for many lenders. After all, it’s in their best interest to keep you in your home rather than invest time, energy and money in the foreclosure process (which, in some states, can drag out for 18 months or more). As part of the so-called “workout,” lenders typically offer one of two options:
1. Repayment plan. The lender adds half of the amount of your first missed payment onto each of your next two payments. Such an arrangement provides some breathing room if you have only short-term financial problems. If you’ve missed two or three payments, the situation becomes more serious, but your lender will still try to arrange a repayment schedule.
2. Loan modification. The lender adjusts the terms of your loan by either lengthening the amortization schedule or lowering the interest rate. Another option is to roll the delinquent amount into the loan and re-amortize the new balance so you can pay the additional debt back over time. This is designed for borrowers who can’t afford repayment plans.
There also are alternatives for more serious financial problems. Your lender may agree to help you get rid of your house via a pre-foreclosure sale. Or, in more dire circumstances, your lender will agree to a “short sale,” where he or she lets you sell the house for less than the outstanding loan amount, takes the proceeds and forgives any remaining overage.
Some lenders may even consider a “short refinance,” where they forgive some of the debt and refinance the rest into a new loan. That way, the lender still gets more money than it would by foreclosing. One last way to bail out of a home before things get too bad is a “deed in lieu of foreclosure” agreement, where you surrender the property deed to the bank, and the bank sells it.
Although it’s never a comfortable situation, “working it out” is at least manageable-and much more desirable than foreclosure. Please call Frank Scozzaro if you have any questions or would like further information on this or any other mortgage-related topic. Frank Scozzaro is happy to help out in any way that he can.
